Airport to Mexico

Here we are at the airport at the butt-crack of dawn. We woke up at 3:30 am to get to there on time. Chris stayed up all night to drive us there which apparently is his regular schedule anyway. Sophie wanted to 'share' my breakfast sandwich - she took half of it and it was huge! very cute. The first part of the trip (3hrs to Dallas) was not easy because she was very tired and screamed in that way that only a toddler can, until she finally fell asleep in an adorable heap on my lap. (see flickr for pictures). She was pretty good for the second airplane ride, another 2 hours or so, with only a few shrieks and then she napped on the shuttle to the town... another 2 plus hours. All in all - I was impressed, yet again, with her tenacity and adaptability. I must admit that I felt like screaming a few times myself. It was a long and uncomfortable trip and I understood what was going on! She just went with it and didn't even know there was a reward for all the suffering. What a champ.
